485 Subsequent Entry
The 485 Subsequent Entry stream allows family members, particularly spouses or partners, of current 485 visa holders to join them in Australia. Applicants must provide proof of their relationship through appropriate documentation and meet health and character requirements. They must also hold valid Overseas Visitor Health Cover (OVHC) and ensure all dependent (relationship documents) meet the application criteria. This option enables families to reunite and build their lives together in Australia.
Second Post-Study Work Stream
The Second Post-Study Work Stream is available for applicants who have studied, lived, and worked in designated regional areas of Australia. Applicants must be under 35 years of age at the time of application. Exceptions apply for those with a Master’s Research or a PhD student or hold a Hong Kong or British National Overseas Passport. This stream encourages skilled individuals to contribute to Australia’s regional communities.
Post-Vocational Education Work Stream
This stream is ideal for graduates with vocational education qualifications under 35 years old, though Hong Kong and British passport holders are exempt from the age requirement. Applicants must nominate an occupation listed on the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) and obtain a skill assessment for their nominated occupation or have applied. Proof of English proficiency is required through an eligible passport or an approved English test (IELTS: 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 5.5 in each band or equivalent in PTE).
Post-Higher Education Work Stream
The Post-Higher Education Work Stream is ideal for graduates under 35 years old. Exceptions apply for those with a Master’s Research or a PhD student or hold a Hong Kong or British National Overseas Passport. Applicants must have completed a higher education degree in Australia. In addition, they need to demonstrate English proficiency by holding an eligible passport or achieving the required scores in an approved English language test (IELTS: 6.5 overall, with no component lower than 5.5, or equivalent in PTE).
Working Holiday Visa (Subclass 417) (12)
This visa allows young adults aged 18 to 30 (or 35 for some countries) to enjoy an extended holiday in Australia while working to fund their stay. Eligible passport holders may apply for a second visa if they meet the criteria.
